How to Get There
By
air
The most
convenient airports are those of Venice (147 kilometres from
Roncegno), Treviso (132km) and Verona (100km). Venice is the
best airport for regular flights, including British Airways,
Alitalia, Sabena, and EasyJet. Ryanair fly to Venice Treviso,
Verona Brescia and Bergamo, all of which are within two hours
drive of the house. All airports have car hire facilities:
it is usually best to arrange these when you buy your air
ticket. From Venice or Venice Treviso airports you can catch
a train to the Valsugana from Mestre station.

From
the north, south or west: go to Trento on the A22 Modena-Brennero
motorway, and exit at either of the Trento exits. Follow signs
for the SS47 to Padua or Vicenza; this takes you up out of
the Adige valley into the Valsugana. The turning for Roncegno
comes about 30 kilometres or 19 miles out of Trento (there
is a place called Roncogno: don't be fooled). From the east:
the entrance to the Valsugana is at Bassano del Grappa: follow
signs there for Trento and the SS47. The turn off for Roncegno
comes after Borgo.
